The Society of Floating Solutions Singapore (SFSS), co-hosted with the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), will host an upcoming webinar exploring the potential of nearshore floating solar photovoltaics (FPV) in the Maldives.
Floating solar is emerging as a promising solution for expanding renewable energy generation in space-constrained regions. Nearshore floating solar systems offer particular opportunities for island nations and coastal areas seeking sustainable energy solutions while minimizing land use.
This webinar will bring together experts from research and industry to discuss key developments in floating PV technology, Smart PV and ESS solutioning considerations, and practical insights from projects in the Maldives. The session will also feature a case study on opportunities and challenges for FPV at Soneva Secret in the Maldives.
