China has completed assembly of the world’s largest single-unit floating offshore wind power system in Beihai, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The 16-megawatt turbine, with blades spanning the length of seven soccer fields, represents a major breakthrough in the nation’s push toward clean energy and marine innovation.

The project aligns with President Xi Jinping’s vision of offshore wind as a cornerstone of “high-quality development” for the country’s marine economy.
