The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has launched an Expression of Interest (EOI) to scale up liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operations and explore innovative solutions for the world’s largest bunker hub.
Key focus areas:
🔹 Scaling up sea-based LNG reloading operations
🔹 Supplying LNG alternatives like liquefied bio-methane
🔹 Developing floating platform concepts to enhance safety and efficiency
This initiative also seeks to address methane slip on a well-to-wake basis, ensuring cleaner and more sustainable operations for the maritime sector. A pivotal step in supporting Singapore’s green energy transition and maritime decarbonization!
