Singapore LNG signs deal with Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines for second LNG terminal

We’re excited to share news of a major step forward in Singapore’s LNG infrastructure! Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG) has partnered with Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) to develop a second LNG import terminal, expected to be operational by 2027.


Key details of the new terminal:
Type: Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU)
Storage Capacity: 200,000 cubic meters
Regasification Capacity: 5 million tons per annum (mtpa)
Location: Jurong Port, linked to onshore pipelines

This addition will support the country’s existing terminal on Jurong Island, which operates at a peak capacity of 11 mtpa.
