Dr. Sabet Divsholi Bahador who served as 2^nd Vice President since the inception of the Society has decided to step down as Council Member following his relocation to another country. As a consequence, he also relinquished his position as 2nd Vice President. The Society is grateful for his service and wish him well.

I am pleased to announce that Dr Koh Hock Seng’s nomination as replacement and was unanimously endorsed by Council Members. Dr Koh is a Fellow of the Society. His background and a photo of him, may be found in my Message No. 21. He will assume the position with effect from 1^st July 2019.

Since his joining the Society he has played an active role in promoting its mission. He currently chairs the Committee to conduct courses to help traditional civil, structural engineers and architects understand principles of floating structures, and their design, construction, towing and mooring. He hopes to engage the authorities in the redevelopment of the Marina Bay area.
