Royal Docks Waterways has unveiled a transformative vision to turn Royal Victoria Dock West into London’s largest floating destination. The ambitious plan aims to reimagine a 12-hectare stretch of water into a dynamic new public space, featuring three priority projects set for early delivery before 2030:
- Floating Wellness: A year-round wellbeing destination featuring a floating lido, saunas, spa experiences, and expanded open-water swimming.
- Floating Park: A new landscaped floating green space with art installations and cultural programming to increase accessible public space and promote climate resilience.
- Floating Residential: A new waterside community integrating residential moorings and floating homes, embracing blue-space urbanism.
This project marks a significant step in utilising water-based real estate to boost publicly accessible open space and create a thriving, year-round waterside community.
