Sembcorp Industries, through its subsidiary Sembcorp Solar Singapore, has been awarded a tender by Singapore’s national water agency PUB to develop an 86 megawatt-peak (MWp) floating solar photovoltaic (PV) system on Pandan Reservoir.
This project marks Sembcorp’s third floating solar initiative in Singapore, following the successful completion of the 60MWp Tengeh Reservoir project in 2021 and the upcoming 150MWp Kranji Reservoir project under a power purchase agreement with Meta Platforms.
The Pandan Reservoir project underscores Singapore’s commitment to harnessing floating solar technology to meet its renewable energy goals.
