K Line and Yinson Production have signed an MoU to co-develop floating storage and injection units (FSIUs) and liquefied CO₂ carriers to support European offshore carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects.
The collaboration builds on their FPSO partnership and combines K Line’s CO₂ shipping expertise (e.g., Northern Lights project) with Yinson’s offshore engineering capabilities, aiming to offer flexible CCS solutions where land or pipeline access is limited.
This is a major step toward enabling large-scale, low-carbon maritime transport and storage.
