LDA has signed an MoU with Technip Energies to co-develop the ammonia cracking system for its innovative FRESH vessel – Floating Renewable Energy Solutions for Hydrogen. This ship-based solution will enable import, storage, and on-board conversion of low-carbon ammonia into high-purity hydrogen, offering a scalable and mobile terminal for port-based hydrogen supply.
Key Features of FRESH:
🔹 170m-long vessel with 45,000 cbm ammonia storage
🔹 Produces up to 50,000 tonnes of 99.9+% pure hydrogen/year
🔹 On-deck high-efficiency ammonia cracker (90%+ efficiency)
🔹 Mobile deployment based on hydrogen demand
🔹 Continuous offloading to shore for industrial and heavy transport use
A promising leap toward portside hydrogen infrastructure and flexible deployment of clean fuel solutions globally.
