The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has kicked off a major tender for a 205 MW floating solar plant at the Bhumibol Dam, Southeast Asia’s largest arch dam.
This project is part of Thailand’s Power Development Plan targeting 2.7 GW of floating solar across 9 dams and marks another step in Thailand’s leadership in hybrid clean energy systems that make use of existing hydro infrastructure for efficient renewable generation.
