The UK’s first floating padel tennis courts are set to open in Liverpool at Princes Dock, joining cities like Dubai, Miami, and Helsinki in bringing recreational activities onto the water.
This exciting project features:
• 3 floating padel courts on a custom-built platform from Finland
• A floating clubhouse with a bar, kitchen, and specialist store
• Partnerships with Floating Padel Oy, Bluet Floating Solutions Oy, Padel Ventures, and Imagineering Global
• Located alongside Wyld Sauna, the UK’s first public floating sauna
Set to open by late summer 2025, the project represents a unique blend of sport, socialising, and waterfront innovation—reinforcing floating solutions as a versatile tool for urban activation and community building.
Excitingly, participants of the World Conference on Floating Solutions (WCFS 2025) will have the opportunity to visit a similar floating padel court during the Technical Tour in Helsinki-Espoo, where floating innovation is shaping the future of cities.
